Who Are We ?
Dr Suneeti Khandekar
After medical
graduation and working in various esteemed hospitals and institutes, she
studied nutrition in SNDT Mumbai. She has a professional experience
from the esteemed Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai where she worked as a dietitian. Currently, she is a Nutrition Consultant at Nagpur, Maharashtra. She is the author of the books,
“Indian Diets in Kidney Diseases”, "Kidney ka Swasthya, Hindustani Swaad ke Saath" & "Kidney Che Aajar Aani Bhartiya Aahar".
Dr Ashwinikumar Khandekar
Consultant Nephrologist at KIMS-Kingsway Hospital, Nagpur. He is keen to spread awareness about chronic kidney disease and renal replacement therapy. A gold medalist all throughout his career in medicine and nephrology, he feels the need to spread awareness about kidney diseases and its proper treatment. He is the past President of The Nephrology Society and a member of the Zonal Transplant Co-ordination Centre.
Our Story
After her MBBS, Dr Suneeti Khandekar joined clinical nutrition for the sheer love of it. Various community projects brought her closer to understanding the diffculties being faced by nutritionists. During Practice of Renal Nutrition, she realized the lack of basic awareness in the patient population regarding basic tenets of a healthy diet. The result was "Indian Diets In Kidney Diseases", a patient centric diet book for kidney ailments. It was soon translated to Hindi as "Kidney Ka Swasthya, Hindustani Swaad Ke Saath".
This portal is actually the fruit of her long held desire and a means to fulfill her mission to spread the skill to upcoming nutritionists to enable them to practice Renal Nutrition with ease and confidence.
Dr Ashwinikumar Khandekar started his Nephrology Practice in Central India in 2008. Given a strong desire to educate patients, his first efforts included a website creation with information on kidney diseases. He went on to add YouTube videos which has attracted thousands of subscribers till date.
With this portal, he now vows to extend the knowledge to the budding nutritionists to help them understand and practice a complex area of clinical nutrition.
